What I read in March

Okay, I had some WINNERS in March, including my first five-star read of the year!

Blew me out of the water; loved! (5 stars)

Run Towards Danger by Sarah Polley: I loved this book. I listened to it on audio, and it was my first five-star read this year!! I posted my review on Instagram here.

I Must Betray You by Ruta Sepetys: A MAGNIFICENT historical fiction book on the Romanian revolution. Read my whole review here.

Missing from the Village by Justin Ling: This book struck the perfect balance of covering the crimes committed while also giving the victims, their families, and advocates a voice. I went back and forth between an audio and physical copy; the author narrates the audiobook and it was a moving listen.

The Paper Palace by Miranda Cowley Heller: A beautiful literary fiction read. Had a hard time stringing some thoughts together on this one, but you can read my review here.

The Selection (1) by Kiera Cass: I'm going to dedicate an entire post to this series. I was grossly obsessed with it and burned through the main series in like, a week. Stay tuned!

I liked it! (4 stars)

The Elite (2) by Kiera Cass: The sequel to The Selection. Not a bad follow-up!

It was fine (3 stars)

The One (3) by Kiera Cass: This one took the longest to get through out of this series, and had a predictable ending.

Unimpressed (2 stars)

Gallant by V.E. Schwab: I loved Addie Larue! But, too much of nothing happened here! Maybe I would have been more into it if I read it in October...?

Dark Roads by Chevy Stevens: A slow-paced thriller (never a good combo).

The Book of Cold Cases by Simone St. James: Another slow-paced thriller where there wasn't much surprise at the end.

The Prince (2.5) by Kiera Cass: A novella about Maxon's (main guy in the book) POV just before The Selection starts. To be honest, made me really not like him!! I should have skipped.

Eileen by Ottessa Moshfegh: I LOVED My Year of Rest and Relaxation by Moshfegh, and have been meaning to read more of her work. I prioritized Eileen because the movie is currently being filmed starring Anne Hathaway! Now, I love a good book if there isn't much going on as long as the characters, or interaction between character
