Had a bit of a rough start to May, but I finally finished a book 10 days into the month!

I felt like I was reading a limited series on HBO with Midwestern detective mystery vibes. A slow burn, with a mystery at the backdrop of how a murder affects different people in a small town.

I liked the story even though it was predictable, and I liked the characters but they didn’t pull on my heartstrings as much as I wanted them to. It was very readable and I did enjoy the ending!
