Mother May I by Joshilyn Jackson

BOOK 41 OF 2021

RATING: 3.5/5

I became a big Joshilyn Jackson fan after I read “Almost Sisters”. Mother May I is definitely a different vibe BUT I still really enjoyed it! I love when an author can write books and impactful stories in more than one genre.

Mother May I is a suspenseful domestic thriller. After Bree’s baby is taken and the kidnapper tells her what she has to do to get her baby back, Bree must dig in to her family’s history to figure out why she’s being targeted.

I found myself thinking about it when I wasn’t reading it: driving to the grocery store I was thinking “okay, but, what are Bree and Marshall doing right now?!” I always like a book that has me thinking about it when I’m not reading it! This is a book to binge over a weekend.

Thank you to William Morrow & Edelweiss for the ARC!
