May Wrap-Up
So, I have been reading like an absolute maniac lately and earlier this month decided to up my reading goal from 100 books this year to 150 books. I made some other reading goals for myself at the start of the year so am looking forward to checking in on how I'm doing on those in June!
I read and listened to a whopping 18 books this month!! A new record for me I think. I listed all of my ratings and books below, but sharing my three stand out reads here:
I didn't have a five star read this month, but by far my favourite was 28 Summers by Elin Hilderbrand. I read the Winter series by her and I loved it. It was such a great summery read and love story. Check out my review to see if you'd be into it (I do a good ol' fashioned 'what I liked' and 'what I didn't like' list)! This book comes out on June 16th!
The biggest surprise was Life and Other Inconveniences by Kristan Higgins! The writing and character development was fantastic. Such a feel good book and all around great story.
My biggest let down this month was Rodham by Curtis Sittenfeld. I had such high hopes for this one and it was a release I was the most excited for this year. I didn't enjoy how much Bill was still involved in her life and just felt very underwhelmed by it.
