February Wrap-Up

Updated: Apr 2, 2021

February was a really great month of reading for me considering I started a new job and was (and am still being, lol) thrown into a new routine. I intentionally read a few romances in February given it’s the month of love and I love to seasonally read, and I ended up really loving the romances I read. Two of my favourites were:

💕Take a Hint, Dani Brown: Narration was *chef’s kiss* and I loved how Dani was a take no shit, academia focused kind of girl and I loved how the author portrayed Zaf’s anxiety.

💕The Ex Talk: Loved how it was about a podcast and Dominic is serious *~book boyfriend~* vibes.

I’m happy that I also read quite a few library books, audiobooks, and backlist (REallY trying to read a lot of books I own vs. buying and buying and buying). Two others that stuck out to me as favs:

Dark Corners of the Night: Reading the third instalment of the Unsub series felt like catching up with an old friend. Loved it, and can’t wait to see what Caitlyn does next.

Convenience Store Woman: A small but mighty book that looks at society’s expectations of the single woman while also tackling class and gender.

Here are all of the books I read this month (click on the title to read my review!):

Rabbit by Patricia Williams

This Close to Okay by Leesa Cross-Smith

Felix Ever After by Kacen Callender

Milk Blood Heat by Dantiel W. Moniz

Jar of Hearts by Jennifer Hillier

Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah

The Wedding Date by Jasmine Guillory

Convenience Store Woman by Sayaka Murata

Take a Hint, Dani Brown by Talia Hibbert

Minority Leader by Stacey Abrams

The Ex Talk by Rachel Lynn Soloman

Heartburn by Nora Ephron
