June Wrap-Up
Time for a June wrap-up. Better late than never right? I was away on vacation the first week of July and didn’t want to post my wrap-up without a stack of what I’ve read (although it wasn't a heck of a lot of physical books).
June 2020 is the month of audiobooks for me: 17 books total: 10 books and 7 audiobooks. I’m glad I got myself a Scribd subscription on top of my Libro.fm subscription so I have access to a lot more audiobooks to listen to (look out for a post later this month about different audiobook platforms).
I had a lot of diverse reads this month: fiction, romance, thrillers, sci-fi, short stories, YA and fantasy. I was such a mood reader this month (reading a book depending on what mood I’m in), so I hope if you’re reading this and looking for some book recommendations you give any of the higher rated ones below a shot!
There are a lot of great books to choose a favourite out of this month. I’d have to go with The Vanishing Half; this book is deserving all of the hype and the praise it’s getting. I find that really hyped books really fall flat for me (because I build them up so much in my head), but this one was fantastic.
My favourite audiobook was Still Alice. It is narrated by the author (who is a neuroscientist) and you can tell she has so much passion in her work. This was one I did not want to stop listening to and was going out of my way to do errands so I could listen to it!
