January Wrap-Up

I had such a great reading month: so many five stars and new favourites. I made an effort to only read what I wanted to this month, and if I wasn’t feeling a book, to put it down. I read a few more larger books in a month than I usually do and generally really enjoyed (almost) everything I read!

Here are some of my favourites from January:

Sabrina & Corina: Wonderfully written short story collection. I could have read a novel about each story.

A Tree Grows in Brooklyn: My first classic of 2021 and it was fantastic! I love literary fiction.

With the Fire on High: Emoni is one of my new favourite characters. She is tenacious, empathetic, genuine and bold.

Beartown: One of the most atmospheric books I’ve ever read. This was a re-read, but I could definitely see myself reading it again.
