Intimations is a series of essays written by Zadie Smith in 2020; one of the first known published works of the year's lockdown. From separate essays on certain individual's she interacted with during lockdown; and a few standout essays that compare the pandemic to racism.

One of the sentiments that stayed with me is: like great wars, people don’t want to go back to the time before the war, they only want to because of the lives lost.
