Book Review: The Guest List by Lucy Foley
Book: 58/150
Rating: 3/5
Summary: Set on a remote island off the Irish coast, this is one guest list no one would want to be on, just as no one would have wanted an invitation to the New Year's Eve party in Foley's previous novel, The Hunting Party . Lives unravel amid the revelry on an eerie and remote island as family and friends assemble for a glam wedding in an updated Murder on the Orient Express. Each of the principal characters has a reason to want one of their number dead, there are old secrets, and one of them is murdered
Thoughts: I listened to this one on audio and I absolutely loved the accents. I always like when audiobooks have different narrators for each character, it's easier to keep them straight that way!
Although with that being said, I did get the characters mixed up at time, and wasn't overly invested in the story. I thought the twist at the end was good, but I was lost a bit throughout the story. I like that it takes place in Ireland, it sets it apart from every other thriller out there!
I would recommend this one as an audiobook over reading it, purely for the accents!
