Book Review: Heart Bones by Colleen Hoover
Book: 127/150
Rating: 4/5
Here lays one of my favourite new releases from CoHo!
Everything good in Beyah's life is all because of her hard work and determination. With no support from her separated parents, Beyah is only a few months away from college and freedom. But after an incident beyond her control, Beyah is forced to spend the summer with her estranged dad and his new wife and step-daughter. On the Texan beach she meets Samson: the next door neighbour she seems to have nothing in common with: she comes from poverty, he lives in a huge mansion solo on the water. They can no longer deny their attraction
Trust me when I say this is a good one: the romance is a slow burn (sometimes the immediate love at first sight romances can feel a bit too schticky to me, so I really liked the pacing of this one) filled with secrets. It's a great end of summer read. I really don't want to share too much because a lot of my thoughts on this one relate to spoilery plot points. I felt the ending was a little bit rushed, but it didn't affect how I felt about the whole book. Another great one from one of my favs!
