Book Review: A Good Girl's Guide to Murder
Book: 26/100
Rating: 4.5/5
Summary: For her final year project, Pippa (Pip) Fitz-Amobi decides to take on the case of Andie Bell - a schoolgirl who went missing five years ago. Her disappearance and assumed murder was blamed on Sal Singh, Andie's boyfriend at the time. Everyone thinks he did it, but Pip isn't so sure.
Much to the dismay of, well, everyone in her hometown, Pip embarks on the investigation of a lifetime as she uncovers details about Andie's disappearance that opens the door to multiple other suspects.
Thoughts: Pip is the coolest Veronica Mars-murderino cross ever. Her character is so likable and her intentions are so pure you are rooting for her the whole time. I loved her budding friendship with Ravi, Sal's brother, and her craftiness and resourcefulness.
I love that there's multi media book: you get snippets of Pip's interviews, the murder board, and her journal logs. It was a great, engaging read for me, with a believable and surprising twist at the end! My one qualm with the book is that something happens to the dog and I was NOT okay with it (this is coming from someone who can't read a book with a dog in it where something bad happens)!
