Autoboyography by Christina Lauren
BOOK 11 OF 2021
RATING: 4/5
A few friends have recommended this book which follows Tanner Scott, a bisexual who is out and open to his family, but hides it from his high school classmates ever since his family relocated from California to Utah.
Tanner takes a prestigious writing course at school where he will have to write a book in four months (sounds possible?), but he gets sidetracked when the class' mentor, Sebastian, a Mormon prodigy who sold the book he wrote during this seminar class turns out to be a total babe.
This was a really sweet book; I started reading the book and then shifted to audio so I could read the book while I worked. The narration was great, and it was fun to listen to the authors interview the narrator at the end of the book! But overall, I enjoyed this book from Tanner's perspective and it was interesting to read a story about a bisexual man who is out and accepted from his family but hides it from his outside world. If you're looking for a heartwarming (at times heartbreaking) love story, this is a good one to pick up.
Also - I received my first Davids Tea subscription box the week I was reading this book! I LOVE tea, so I loved the idea of getting a surprise box of tea every month. So far, out of this bunch, I love the Cold 911, Lemon Lullaby, and Morning Detox. I'm hoping to make a dent in these before my next box comes!
