Audiobook Review: The Perfect Couple by Elin Hilderbrand

Book: 85/150

Rating: 4/5

Summary: It's Nantucket wedding season, also known as summer-the sight of a bride racing down Main Street is as common as the sun setting at Madaket Beach. The Otis-Winbury wedding promises to be an event to remember: the groom's wealthy parents have spared no expense to host a lavish ceremony at their oceanfront estate.

But it's going to be memorable for all the wrong reasons after tragedy strikes: a body is discovered in Nantucket Harbor just hours before the ceremony-and everyone in the wedding party is suddenly a suspect. As Chief of Police Ed Kapenash interviews the bride, the groom, the groom's famous mystery-novelist mother, and even a member of his own family, he discovers that every wedding is a minefield-and no couple is perfect.

Thoughts: I loved 28 Summers by Elin Hilderbrand (check out my review for that one here) and I really wanted to listen to another one of her books. I cashed in a Libro.fm credit for The Perfect Couple and it was a great choice!

No one does summer beach reads like Elin. If a romance beach read isn't enough for you, check out this one because the added mystery element really makes this one a winner. The Perfect Couple gets 4 stars from me because it just didn't have the 5 star, I need to shout from the rooftop how much I loved this book' element, but I did really, really like it. She should write more mysteries because there were a lot of little twists and turns that came up that kept me guessing and intrigued.
