Audiobook Review: A Promised Land by Barack Obama
Book: 183
Rating: 5/5
How could I possibly write a review for this one??? I will keep it short and sweet. This book is really everything I could want in a Barack Obama memoir. It's a great mix of personal and family life, foreign affairs, policy, and in some cases, his true feelings about some former colleagues.
The audiobook was fantastic: it was great to hear his story in his voice and now I definitely want to prioritize books I have on my shelf by his former staff and colleagues (Ben Rhodes and Samantha Power). I can absolutely see why this one was over 30 hours on audio (he has so many stories to share) and why he's writing a second volume. Obama is so well spoken and has such a way with words, he is very missed (and I think he knows it!).
